Green tomato chutney, infected verrucas and rain

Well what can I say that the title doesn't. All of these things have come to pass in the last twelve hours or so but not necessarily in that order.
Picture the scene its 3am ish my arse is hanging out of the bed and I'm woken by the sound of "mum"......"mum"......none other than my partners 15 year old son has entered the room to complain that he has a sore toe and can she look, diagnose and cure!! I mean come on its 3am. Now your asking...well maybe she is a GP, Nurse, Pharmacist or if you are really out of it...a miracle worker. Nope none of the above she is in fact a virtual assistant.....Yuck she exclaims ewwww...diagnosis complete he returns to his room with me thinking aloud...Donna I have a sore little finger I poked it in a wayward teenagers eye!!!

This led me onto thinking i know what I can make today after i finally rose from what possibly was a nightmare but in actual fact happened...I'm going to make green tomato chutney!!! We have so so so many green tomato's because as we all know in this country at the moment even the four horsemen of the apocalypse are wearing arm bands to stay afloat. No sun and deluges of rain have all made for an absolute bumper crop of the finest unripe organic tomato's known to man. This has now been turned into enough green tomato chutney to last me, Donna and any passing old age pensioner who cares to take a jar until the new millennium. What I'm going to do with it I have no clue.......someone get me Mrs Cropley I need to think about spreading it on cakes, sweets, breads or maybe even making it into some sort of soup!!

This all leads me on nicely to the final part of the title...RAIN yes you guessed it.....its raining!!!!!
